Finally Pig-tails
Ok so this was not my best hair job, but it was the first time I tried to get a 2 yr. old to sit still long enough to do pigtails. It only took us 2 almost 2.5 years for her hair to BARELY fit in pigtails, but I did create a hair monster. She only wants her hair in a ponytail or pigtails. Just thought you could celebrate with us that we finally have HAIR!!! Ha Ha! On to the pics...
I tried to get a front shot, but you can't even tell in this pic. Oh well!!
Had to throw in some pics of sweet Sophia. She gets her tubes put in on Wed. We are very excited and hope it helps the health problems.

Sophia's hospital visit
Well for those that don't already know, we spent last Friday to Monday in the hospital with Sophia. Many have asked what happened, so I'll give you the rundown. It started the week before... she had thrown up all Sat. night. We thought it was the stomach bug that was going around. She got better (we thought), but by Thurs. at school, I was called up because she wouldn't stop crying. She never does that, which freaked out her teachers. She had a 102 temp. so I took her to the doc., but had to see a different doc. (which I will never see again). She spent about 1 whole min. checking on Sophia and said oh its a virus and left. Well Thurs. at midnight was the last time she nursed. I took her again to see our doc. on Fri. He said it was a virus that causes sores in her throat, but she also had a very bad ear infection... I was so mad at the other doc!!!! I told him about what she had said, but of course he can't say anything since they work together but I was mad. So he gave us meds for the ears and throat. Anyway, she had not had a wet diaper since 9:30 that morning, and it was like 2:00 when we went to the doc. He considered sending us to get fluids then, but hoped the meds for her throat would allow her to start eating. About 8:00 that night we called the doc. on call because it had been 20 hrs. since she had eaten anything, 11 hrs since any wet diapers, and she had only been awake about 45 mins. throughout the whole day. BAD NEWS!! So they called the hospital and sent us up. I thought we would be there a few hours for the fluids then sent home, so I was NOT prepared to say the least. They stuck her about 6 times trying to get the IV in, but she was so dehydrated they ended up calling a nursery nurse to put it in her head... she looked so pitiful. Anyway, they gave her meds. through the IV every 12 hrs. and constant fluids. She finally decided to start eating Sun. night, so she went from Thurs. night till Sun. night living on the IV fluids... glad we went!!! We got released on Monday since she was finally eating. So that is the story of our crazy weekend. Thanks for all the prayers and phone calls I got. Everyone was super nice bringing me coffee and Sonic drinks... you guys know me so well. Ha ha!! Love you all!!

Zumba
Today at camp we did a workout called Zumba. I have never had so much fun working out. It is basically Latin dance. It is a mix of samba, salsa, and cumbia dance. It was high energy and so much fun. There is about 75 people in our camp and it is a mix of guys and girls, so it was fun and funny to watch everyone try to dance. So far, I love going. I hope it continues to be super fun so I will want to get up every morning. We also took our "before" pictures (scary!!) to compare it with our after, so I am interested to see the difference. I am going to try to wear the same thing so it will be easier to tell. Well one week down and I am totally sore. It was so hard at school yesterday sitting in those little kid chairs. I groaned every time I sat or stood, and I got some funny looks from the kids wandering what was wrong with me. Anyway, hopefully I will work out all the soreness soon and be good to go the rest of the 6 weeks.

Boot Camp - Fit Camp
This post is for those not on Facebook. I have started a workout program at the Airforce base. Michelle started talking about it at one of our play dates and it sounded really interesting. SO I joined her this six weeks. The crazy part is that it is at 4:45 am. Yes, I know, crazy!!! I wake up at 3:50 so I can feed Sophia, throw on clothes, and grab breakfast. I would have never thought... being a night owl, that I would ever wake up at 3 anything of my own free will. So, Michelle and I are doing it with 3 of her friends from church, so luckily I am being picked up which makes me get up. We started on Monday, but today was our first full workout. It was fun, but totally reminded me of basketball practice in high school. We ran for a while, did lots of lounges and squats, lots of push-ups and sit-ups, and more. The goal is pretty much to not ever stop moving the whole hour, so if we were in line waiting to run we were doing jumping jacks. I look forward to see what is to come. It is 5 days a week, so hopefully in 6 weeks I will have lost some of the maternity weight. I hadn't lost everything I gained with Faith before I got pregnant with Sophia so I have a ways to go, but I know this will be a good start, just walking isn't cutting it anymore. I will keep you posted on my crazy workout!!!

Christmas with the Dow's
We had our first of three Christmases this past weekend. We spent the weekend in Southlake with Stacy's family. It was very short because we also spent time getting more stuff out of our Fort Worth house. For those that don't know... our house is finally selling. I have to be honest; I am a bit sad. I loved building and being able to pick out every part of your house. It really makes it what you want, but hopefully we will be able to do it again soon. It was also nice having a house to stay at everytime we were in the DFW area. We are planning to build again outside of Abilene after we recover from having bills on two houses for the past 14 months. It is definitely a blessing in that area. Our funds have been wearing thin because of that. Anyway, back to Christmas. We were with Stacy's parents Fri. night and all day Sat. We just hung out and ate way to much. We opened gifts and watched to much Sesame Street (why we don't get that in Abilene is beyond me). We had a great time... now on to the few pics we did take.
This is a lizard we found living in our garage in Ft. Worth. Stacy caught it and put it in my crystal punch bowl... boys!!

Just a few pics
We took Faith's 2 yr. pics during the holiday. Here are 2 of them and I still need to scan the others. They were real cute. The last one is just a random pic I took. I don't get many pics of them together especially both looking at the camera.
