Pneumonia... is it ever going to end!!

So I know I just posted about the tubes and many of you haven't even had a chance to read that yet, but I have new news. We literally just got home. Faith now has PNEUMONIA (and of course the ear infections are back)!!! I am so ready for tubes because I just can't see how she can get any sicker. She had to have breathing treatments. It was horrible for both of us. She didn't cry... (this sounds horrible) but it was really like a wild animal. She grunted and moaned, her eyes were darting back and forth, and she twisted her body like I've never seen. I thought she was going to pass out. She was restrained, but still had scratches all over her face from trying to get the mask off. I felt so sorry for her because she had to have acted like that from fear. It makes me so sad that she was that freaked out!!! She got a huge steroid shot and 2 new antibiotics to take on top of the other two she is already taking. Can the surgery get here any faster??? On the way home, she was so out of it, her eyes were half open and she just sat still all the way. It was pitiful. She was asleep in about 2 minutes after she hit the bed. Anyway, I hope all these drugs get her to the surgery. And I sure hope he doesn't delay it. Keep the prayers coming... Thanks so much!!!

TUBES!!! (and baby name help)

Well we had Faith's ENT appt. last week. He said she needs tubes for sure, so I guess it is all a go. We have to have a hearing test done before and also after the surgery. I am very interested in how this turns out. I am pretty sure she has some trouble hearing, which the doctor said she probably does and after the surgery it should be basically normal. So I am very glad to get her hearing fixed, that could cause lots of trouble in the future otherwise. Anyway, the big day is Feb. 6th. I am excited that this may/should help with all the sickness, but ready to get it over with. I want to thank all of you who have been through this yourself or with your child and left me comments. It really does help me feel better about it and calm my fears. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

On another note, I am finally going to see my OBGYN. I will be through my first tri-mester before I ever meet my doctor. That is so weird to me since I was with my last doctor for months in order to even get pregnant. I am not sure if I will have a sonogram, but if I get pics of the new little one, I will scan them in and post them for you guys. I would love to have some help with names, so throw out some of your favorites PLEASE!!! (Boy and girl names for now)

Feeding the ducks

We went out to visit the ducks today. It was warmer than expect and we try to go to the park every chance we get. It was fun and Faith loves feeding the ducks. I thought she would be scared the first time, but so far we know she LOVES animals of all kinds. We will be getting a pet as soon as she is old enough to help. Notice the duck with the fro in the last picture. It was our favorite.

I am sorry I keep writing about Faith's health, but it truly is an everyday thing for us. We are not doing much else right now. So here is the update. She still has her lovely ear infections and her ENT appointment is on Thurs., so we are just trying to make it to that day. I had not mentioned this, but at one of her doc. appointments the doc. asked me if I noticed that she tilts her head to the side. I had noticed, but not thought much about it. He said he wanted to recommend her to an eye doc. and if her eyes were ok then she needed to go to rehab. Well we had her eye doc. appointment last Wed. and they were fine (yea!). But, she threw up again in the room at the eye doc.... that was fun!! So I took her to her pediatrician since she has now been throwing up on a regular bases. They said her body isn't able to take the antibiotics well since she has been on 6 or 7 different ones and has taken them for 3 months straight. He said it wasn't worth getting off of them until the ENT can see her, so now I am scared to take her anywhere since she might throw up at anytime... more fun!! (Ok enough sarcasm) So on Mon. we have her rehab appointment and I am just hoping they will clear her, otherwise we will do rehab on a regular bases for the length of time they think is necessary. If they clear her then she was just tilting her head because of the pain from the ear infections and we are back to the beginning, but poorer (haha). So that is the update and hopefully by next week we will know a date for her to get the tubes. I wrote at one point that I didn't want her to have tubes, but God has prepared me, because now I really wanting the tubes hoping that will clear everything up. We will see. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement you guys have given me. I appreciate it all!!

Christmas and New Years...

Well, I can't believe it went by so fast, but the holidays have come and gone already. I don't know about you, but wow that was fast. We had fun with both families like most of you. We spent time with my family a few weekends before Christmas here in Abilene. It was very fun... like always!!! Faith adores her cousins and loves messing with Emma. I keep telling her Emma will fight back one day. I also got to tell my family about being pregnant then. Faith wore a shirt that said the worlds best big sister. Julie told my brother to read it and his comment was "what does that mean?" ... Boys!!! We laughed, but I guess he was just showing how shocked we all were at this exciting news. It is finally sinking in by the way.

We spent Christmas day with Stacy's parents in Southlake. It was relaxing. We just hung out at their house, ate (a lot!!) and played with Faith's new toys (after putting them all together). It was good to see them, since we don't get to visit them as much as we would like with Faith being sick so much.

And on that note... Faith and I were supposed to leave the day after Christmas with my parents to take the fun but long trip to Alabama and Tenn. to visit family and friends. The doctor has put Faith on a med. until she goes to the ENT on the 17th because of the continuous ear infections. Well, not sure why still, but when we were in the car leaving on the trip (luckily not even out of Forth Worth yet) she started throwing up (all over the car... yuck!! Sorry mom and dad!) So I decided I just couldn't go for 2 weeks with her being sick the whole time. We knew she would have the ear infection thing the whole trip, but once we add throwing up, I was done!! I am in the morning sick time of pregnancy anyway, so cleaning it up is not so easy!!! Anyway, my poor parents ended up taking us all the way back to Abilene and leaving late that night. Faith seems to be a little better although she did throw up all over Stacy New Years Day (boy that was a shock for Mr. germ-aphobe.) But I have decided it is from the drainage (I hope). Anyway, so that was our exciting Holiday.

I know I am the worst at posting pics late, but our camera has been in AL. since summer, so I have to wait till my mom comes to get her pics. My parents are bring the camera back with them, so hopefully I will have pics more often. It is amazingly hard not having a camera available when you have kids. Anyway, love you all and Happy 2008!!
